In celebration of our 25th anniversary, HMCE will be expanding the scholarship program to 25 scholarship awards for the 2012 conference! The scholarship program is designed to allow students who may not ordinarily be able to attend the conference due to financial considerations to have the opportunity to participate in this unique and invaluable experience. By aiming to increase the socioeconomic diversity of the conference, we hope to include a wider variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and ideas that will liven debate, inject new thoughts, and enhance the conference experience for all involved.
All recipients of these scholarships will have their delegate fees waived and ten recipients will be reimbursed for their hotel stays during the conference. The selection process will be based on a combination of perceived financial need, academic merit, and enthusiasm for the opportunity to participate in HMCE 2012. Each school may nominate up to four delegates for the scholarship program.
