The chairs were helpful throughout every step of the conference. They were engaging, knowledgeable, and friendly and even as we are back at home, our kids continue to think about them! The chairs effectively helped lead the debates, encourage the delegates and establish a comfortable but also professional environment. In addition, the chairs were very patient with every question, concern and request made by the students (and faculty advisors!). “Coming back to reality is actually quite hard. Indeed, for three days we felt like the fate of the U.S. was in our hands, as we tried our best to play the roles that were allocated to us. However, apart from the burning debates, our days were also marked by breakout sessions which were for many of us an occasion to interact with other students, and even with Harvard students, whose kindness and friendliness were remarkable… This Congress was in my opinion a unique opportunity to discover the United States’ voting system in the Congress, as well as the influence of NGOs such as the CATO Institute or the Heritage Foundation. I recommend everyone to take part in these amazing debates, which will stay one of the best experiences I have ever had.”
