Caroline is a senior in Pforzheimer House concentrating in Government, originally from the great state of North Carolina. She first joined HMC Europe in 2015 as a junior staffer in the District Court committee. She served as the Director of Scholarships and Outreach in 2016 and the Director of Programs in 2017. In addition to HMC, she is actively involved in Harvard’s Institute of Politics and conducts research in the Department of Government. In her free time, she loves hiking and taking road trips. Caroline is honored to work with such an incredible team of board and staff members and is greatly looking forward to the 2018 conference.
Aren Rendell, a proud native of Omaha, Nebraska, is a junior concentrating in Economics. In high school, Aren was an HMC delegate twice, and he has loved his HMC experiences during his time at Harvard. HMCE 2018 will mark his 14th time serving as a staffer or on the board of a conference, and he is thrilled to be back with HMCE as its Vice President. Outside of HMC, Aren spends much of his time sharing random information about Nebraska and discussing politics. His political experience ranges from working in the finance department of a state party during the 2016 elections to interning for former Congressman Brad Ashford in Washington, D.C. Outside of the political realm, he enjoys playing golf, traveling, and eating.
Harrison Satcher is a junior studying Psychology and Statistics, originally from southwest Florida. He became involved with model government programs as a freshman in high school and has enjoyed spending the last six years engaging with others as a student, peer, and mentor. His favorite part of HMC is having the opportunity to combine his passion for education and civics. On campus, he works for the Computational Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory, the Social Cognition Laboratory, and Widener Library. His interests include hiking, creative writing, and weightlifting.
Amy Danoff is a Sophomore originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Outside of government simulation (and classes), she spends her time at Harvard backpacking, giving tours, and working on the literary magazine. She is so excited to be returning to HMC Europe for the second time in 2018!
Director of International Programs
Raquel Leslie is a sophomore from Danvers, MA, concentrating in Government with a secondary in East Asian Studies and a citation in Mandarin. Outside of HMC, she is a Peer Advising Fellow for freshmen, the Undergraduate Outreach Coordinator for the Harvard China Fund, and a tutor for Harvard employees seeking US citizenship.
Director of Domestic Programs
Sally is a senior studying government and history with a focus on American politics. After staffing HMC’s Boston, San Francisco, and Europe conferences, Sally is excited to return to return to Harvard Model Congress Europe this year as Director of Domestic Programs. Outside of HMC on campus, Sally is the President of her sorority and was part of the leadership team of Harvard’s Institute of Politics. A proud Michigander, in her spare time she loves taking pictures, listening to music, drinking tea, and cooking.
Director of Operations and Technology
Maddie is a sophomore in Quincy House, concentrating in Government. Outside of HMC, Maddie spends most of her time teaching kids around Boston with various clubs, running very slowly or baking a mean chocolate chip cookie. Maddie was a delegate for multiple years at HMC Asia, through which she discovered her passion for politics, and will have staffed 6 conferences by HMC Europe 2018, through which she discovered her passion teaching. Maddie is thrilled to be working on the board of HMCE this year, discovering her passion for all things operations and technology!
Director of Scholarships and Outreach
Sebastian is a Senior in Kirkland house pursing a degree in Physics with a secondary in Computer Science. He was born in Meyrin Switzerland, comes from an Argentinian family, and grew up just outside of Chicago. In his free time, he enjoys biking, watching a good soccer match, and reading The Economist. After he finishes his time at Harvard he hopes to pursue Graduate studies in either Computer Science or Physics. Sebastian loved competitive debate and mock congress in high school and hopes to help make HMCE 2018 an amazing experience for faculty and students.
Chief of Staff
Hanel Baveja is a senior at Harvard University, studying Economics and English. She is thrilled to be returning to HMCE for her third year. Recently, she spent four months in Aix-en-Provence, France, where she studied French and Art History and consumed an alarming about of bread. Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, she enjoys traveling, watching movies, and drinking coffee.
