Senate Foreign Relations
Originally from Los Angeles, Kemi is a rising sophomore studying History and Science. She developed an interest in global affairs while traveling around Europe and Africa. At Harvard, she works with the Admissions Office, Women in CS, and HABIC.
Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions
Nida is a rising senior from Greenville, SC, concentrating in Economics. She loves HMC, having staffed each of the six conferences. She’s excited to return to HMC Europe this year as a staffer, for her fourth and final year! Outside of HMC, she manages and is a barista at an on-campus café (come by sometime — she makes a mean hazelnut latte!). Feel free to reach out if you have any questions as the conference approaches!
Andrew Badinelli is a senior in Mather House from Brookfield, Connecticut, studying economics with a secondary field in history of science. Andrew has staffed HMC conferences in Boston, Asia, Europe, and serves as the president of HMC San Francisco. Outside of HMC, he is an editor of The Harvard Crimson – Harvard’s student newspaper – and a teaching assistant in the Economics Department. On a typical day, Andrew can be found listening to any and all music and attempting to sing along. Unfortunately, he is not good at singing. Andrew looks forward to working with delegates and capping off his HMC career at HMCE 2018!
Marty Berger is a junior at Harvard studying Anthropology with a minor in African & African American Studies. On campus, he coordinates interviews for the Harvard Political Review and researches police brutality in Chicago. Outside of Harvard, you can find him playing tennis, juggling, or frequenting the coffee shops in his hometown, Portland, Oregon. He is passionate about fighting for equity in education and criminal justice.
Claire Chen is a senior at Harvard concentrating in Economics and pursuing a secondary in Government. She hails from Toronto, Canada and presently lives in Winthrop House. Around campus, she is often found hanging out in obscure libraries, watching figure skating videos, raving about Canada, and napping whenever she can. She is thrilled to be returning to Harvard Model Congress Europe for her third year!
Senate Foreign Relations
Dustin Chiang is a junior from Fremont, California studying Government with a secondary in Economics. This is his third year staffing HMCE, and he is excited to return to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee again. Dustin has also staffed conferences in Boston, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Sao Paulo. Dustin teaches civics at local public schools, leads tours for the Admissions Office, and is is the Communications Director for Harvard’s Institute of Politics. He enjoys watching TV, playing board games, trying delicious foods, and cheering on the Oakland Athletics.
Rachel is a Junior in Quincy House studying Women and Gender Studies and Spanish. Originally from the great city of Hong Kong, Rachel loves travelling, studying international affairs, and scouring Boston for good Asian food. In addition to her work with HMC, she does sexual assault survivor advocacy and is a first-year advisor. She is incredibly excited to be staffing HMC Europe.
Ben Delsman is a junior originally hailing from the beautiful state of Oregon, now studying Economics and Government here at Harvard. When not writing RapGenius comments on Kanye lyrics, you can usually find Ben hiking or playing intramural basketball poorly. He’s excited to share his passion for all things political!
Will is a Junior from the great state of New York, studying Economics and Linguistics at Harvard. Outside of the classroom, he is a campus tour guide and an active member in Harvard’s Institute of Politics. This is his eighth HMC conference and his first year with Harvard Model Congress Europe. He is very interested in European geopolitics, and looks forward to chairing the European Commission at the conference this March. Will is excited to make this year HMCE’s best conference yet!
World Health Organization
Danielle Foltz is a sophomore at Harvard, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Outside of HMCE, she is involved in Harvard’s Radio Station WHRB, and loves rowing, watching movies, and playing with her dog Amber. Danielle is hoping to attend medical school after graduation, and concentrate in History and Science.
United Nations Security Council
Originally from all over the Midwest, Michael is a senior living in Dunster House studying history with a secondary in economics. From Indiana to Iowa to Ohio, Michael has experienced all of the beauty that is the Midwestern United States. When not talking about football or crop rotation, Michael can be found reading a nice book. Having been in Model Congress since freshman year, this will be Michael’s third HMCE conference. Michael is beyond excited to be back in Madrid, and he cannot wait for HMCE 2018 to begin!
Hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Shaun is a senior concentrating in English with a secondary in Economics. Aside from HMC, he writes for the campus newspaper and humor magazine, and works on the business board for the school literature magazine. He’s staffed conferences in Boston, Dubai, and Sao Paolo, and is so excited to staff HMCE 2018!
United Nations Human Rights Council
Cass Hastie, a senior at Harvard College from Woodstock, New York, is pursuing a degree in Government with a focus on human rights. When she is not participating in HMC, she spends her time as a peer counselor and a tour guide for the Harvard Admissions Office. In her free time, Cass loves to go for runs and listen to as much Kanye West as she can. Cass was a delegate for 3 years in high school and has now staffed all six HMC conferences! She is so excited meet you all at HMCE 2018!

Anna Henricks, from Lakeland, Florida, is a sophomore at Harvard who plans on concentrating in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology. Outside of HMC, Anna is a member of the Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company and works as a mentor to students in the Boston area through Harvard’s Ed Portal.
World Health Organization
Emily is a junior at Harvard studying the history of science. Emily was raised between Honolulu, Hawaii and Savannah, Georgia, and now lives in Pforzheimer House at Harvard. Her academic interests are pretty broad, but she’s particularly intrigued by global health, especially on the policy side. When she’s not studying, she loves to read, travel, and spend time outdoors and with friends. She’s so excited to be staffing HMC Europe since the delegates are always so articulate, well-prepared, and engaged!
Maria Mendoza is a junior in Quincy House from West New York, NJ. A government concentrator, she competes on the mock trial team, tutors Harvard employees studying for the citizenship exam, and staffs HMC conferences in Boston, Europe, Asia, and San Francisco. Maria is incredibly excited to staff District Court in Madrid this year and hopes that all delegates will hone their public speaking skills, learn about objections, and craft strong arguments for the “courtroom” throughout the weekend.
Narayan Narasimhan is a junior in Adams House from Shaker Heights, Ohio. He studies Social Studies and Linguistics, with a citation in Arabic. Outside of class, he is most involved with the Harvard South Asian Association and activities within the Admissions Office. This will be his eighth HMC conference! When he is not traveling or hanging out with his blockmates, you can most likely find him at Chipotle eating to his heart’s content, binge-watching House of Cards, or aggressively checking the New York Times.
International Monetary Fund
Ryan O’Meara is a senior living in Cabot House concentrating in Economics with a secondary field in Government and a language citation in Spanish. Originally from Plano, TX, Ryan enjoys playing golf, reading, and rooting for Dallas sports teams. Ryan has staffed HMC conferences in Boston, Hong Kong, Dubai, Sao Paulo, Rome, and Madrid, and is looking forward to working with the students at HMC Europe 2018. In addition to staffing HMC conferences, he spent a year chairing the Editorial Board of The Harvard Crimson and teaches leadership to high school students in Boston.
House Armed Services
The son of a Marine, Nick spent most of his formative years in Japan, travelling across Asia, absorbing the diverse culture. While there, he developed a passion for politics. His interest only grew after attending HMC Asia for two years. As a freshman at Harvard, he is concentrating in Chemical and Physical Biology, but his love of government drew him back to Harvard Model Congress, where he is looking forward to indulging his political inclinations with those who share his interests.

Danielle is a junior from Southern California pursuing a joint concentration in Government and Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies. Apart from staffing for HMC, she enjoys singing as the president of her collegiate a cappella group, teaching civics to fifth graders in Boston, and being a member of Best Buddies. On campus, Danielle’s research on policy revolving around women’s issues has served as an academic outlet for her to explore her passion for feminism and political science. This summer, she will be interning as a liaison between Global Kids and Council on Foreign Relations in New York City.
Raymond is a sophomore at Harvard concentrating in Computer Science & Economics. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, he comes from 5+ years of Model Government background, and is excited to be staffing HMC Europe!
Andrew is a senior English Concentrator from Pennsylvania. He has been involved with Harvard Model Congress since his Freshman year. Outside of HMC, Andrew helps manage the university’s Arts and Literature magazine, leads maintenance crews, and works as a fry cook. He enjoys reading, travel, cooking, photography, and early 2000s pop ballads. He looks forward to meeting the delegates in attendance at HMC Europe 2018!
Melvin is a junior at Harvard concentrating in government with a secondary in Computer Science. He has staffed 11 HMC conferences all around the world, in Boston, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Seoul, Sao Paulo, and Madrid. He is looking forward to once again staffing Supreme Court, which he has staffed for five previous conferences!
House Science, Space & Technology
Yankang is a Senior in Leverett House studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Born in the snowcapped mountains of Southwest China, Yankang has lived in 6 states in the US and in Canada. Outside of HMC, Yankang heads Harvard’s Engineering Society, plays intramural sports when he is not injured, and can often be found eating food or crying over yet another Buffalo Bills loss.

Catherine Zhang is a junior in Adams House studying Social Studies. This is her second time staffing HMC Europe: previously, she co-chaired the IMF committee. Outside of HMC, Catherine writes for Harvard’s sketch comedy and satire news organizations. She enjoys yoga, podcast listening, and buying Moleskine journals she won’t use.
