Nyla Brewster is a junior at Harvard from Boston, MA studying Social Studies and Computer Science. Nyla joined HMC during her first year at Harvard and is very passionate about international affairs and development. She is a senior staffer for HMC Boston, Asia, and Dubai and is incredibly excited to serve as the Co-President of HMCE 2021. Outside of HMC, she enjoys jogging, horror movies, and dog watching!
Melody is a junior from the suburbs of Atlanta, GA studying Government and Educational Studies. She’s also a proud resident of Lowell House! She previously served as HMCE 2020 Director of Communications. Aside from HMC, she’s involved in the Harvard College Consulting Group as a Case Team Leader and CIVICS, where she teaches 5th graders in the Boston area about American government. Outside the classroom, she loves to workout and travel the world. This will be her tenth HMC conference, where she’s staffed conferences in Boston, SF, Dubai, and Tokyo, and she’s incredibly excited for HMC Europe 2021!
Nour is a junior in Quincy House studying Economics with a secondary in Government. Nour has staffed other conferences before, but this will be her first time doing HMCE! Outside of HMC, she is a Small Claims Advisory Service volunteer and helps tutor high school students. She loves reading mysteries, listening to music, and exploring the Boston area. Nour is very excited to serve as Vice President for HMCE 2021 and looks forward to meeting everyone in Madrid!
Sam is a junior in Lowell House concentrating in Social Studies and pursuing a secondary in Economics. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Sam is also involved with the Small Claims Advisory service and the Global Research and Consulting organizations on campus. He enjoys reading thriller novels, watching and playing basketball, and cooking with his family.
Christine is a sophomore at Harvard most likely studying Economics with a secondary in Government. She is originally from Nashville, TN, and this will be her second year with HMC and her first year serving on HMCE board! Outside of HMC, you can find her analyzing public opinion data at the Institute of Politics, citizenship tutoring with the Phillips Brooks House Association, and traveling with Harvard’s Model UN team. In her free time, she loves baking, spending time with friends, *attempting* crossword puzzles, and exploring new places!
Amanda is a junior from New Jersey living in Lowell House and studying Computer Science and the History of Art and Architecture. Outside of class Amanda can be found working with studio arts organizations on campus and teaching computer science to middle schoolers in the Boston area. In her free time she enjoys drawing, working out and making complicated coffees. Amanda has staffed conferences in Boston and San Francisco and she can't wait to meet you all during HMCE 2021!
Busola [pronounced boo•saw•la] is a junior from Snellville, Georgia living in Adams House studying a Joint Concentration in the History of Science & African and African American Studies with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy (a lot of fancy things saying she's pre-med student)! While she has staffed other conferences, she is very excited because this will be her first HMCE. Outside of Harvard Model Congress, Busola can be found broadcasting music from the radio station as an on-air DJ, having great discussions within the Institute of Politics, or developing the mentorship program she co-founded with Black students across Harvard's graduate schools. Without a doubt, Busola is beyond ecstatic to be a part of HMC Europe this year!
Hannah is a junior studying History at Harvard with a language citation in Hebrew. Hannah has previously staffed HMC conferences in Boston, Tokyo, and San Francisco. Outside of HMC, Hannah enjoys working with youth and teaching, spending time at Harvard Hillel, and running. She has volunteered and interned for various international NGOs and non-profits every summer and loves finding new ways to help advance causes she is passionate about. She is so excited for HMC Europe and for all the exciting learning and debate!
Jonathan Ragheb, a junior pre-medicine student at Harvard College from beautiful, sunny Los Angeles, California, is studying Neuroscience (and maybe something else in the future, he'll see). Jonathan loves to play volleyball, eat a LOT of food, and sing in the shower. He is a huge Taylor Swift fan, memorizes most of her songs, and is super excited to serve as your Director of Educational Development at HMCE 2021!
Michael Raji, a junior from Houston, Texas, is pursuing a degree in Government with a secondary in Global Health & Health Policy. On campus, he spends time as a tutor for HOPE, tour guide for crimson key, and volunteers at the Crimson Collaborative Clinic. For fun, Michael likes to play pickup ball at Hemenway Gym or find different ways to blow his money on Ubereats. Michael is h-y-p-e-d to make HMCE 2021 the best conference in history.
