A Country Divided by Immigration
Migration has been a part of human history for centuries. Some people leave their home, because they are searching for better opportunities, which I personally don’t see anything wrong in, but the issue of immigration is often divided into two opinions. Some people take leaving their house, as betrayal. They think that you are real winner if you remain and work towards progress, without seeking better conditions anywhere else. Migration has impacts on both the places people leave and the ones they move to. Because of this the conversation around immigration has become more heated, especially when it comes to issues like economic effects of immigration.
Hello! My name is Nutsi and I’m journalist. Today I talked to the students about immigration and their opinions were divided:
Students who support immigration, made one major point. immigrants are key to the economy. Without immigrants, many countries would struggle to find enough people to work in these essential sectors. When people from around the world meet, they share ideas and dreams, which leads to coming up with creative strategies. Immigrants also bring new skills and they really help each other . In addition, immigrants are especially important in countries with aging populations.
Students who don’t support immigration said that there are valid concerns and lot of worries. One of the biggest worries is that immigrants take easy jobs, which are not interesting enough for citizens and that leads to citizens having trouble to find work, which from my perspective is very valid point. Critics fear that a sudden influx of immigrants could overwhelm these systems, particularly in countries that are already facing challenges in providing for their citizens. Additionally, critics are very concerned. even tensions between immigrants and local populations can sometimes create friction, which can lead to misunderstandings.
But after everything, immigrants are part of everyone’s life. People have the difficult task of finding a balance—welcoming those in need, while ensuring that both immigrants and citizens are well-supported. It’s not an easy task, but we have to find solution. I think that everyone should try to find balance and help ones who need help. Ultimately, finding a fair, practical, and compassionate approach is solution , not just for immigrants, but for the societies that welcome them.
